Saint Leo University
Saint Leo University is a private, nonprofit, Roman Catholic liberal arts university established in 1889. Its primary campus is located in St. Leo, FL, north of Tampa.
Saint Leo was one of the first American universities to offer distance learning, beginning in 1973 by educating military personnel during the Vietnam War. Today, it remains a leading provider of education for active-duty military members, veterans, and their families.
The university's athletic teams, known as the Lions, compete in NCAA Division II as part of the Sunshine State Conference (SSC).
Saint Leo won its first NCAA Division II National Title in 2016 when the men’s golf team defeated Chico State 3-2 in the NCAA DII Championship.
